Melamine foam is an open cell, low density material.

From an industrial perspective, their sound absorbing qualities, their performance at higher temperatures and their fire resistance capability (M1) make them suitable for their use in very varied applications : aeronautical industry, home appliance manufacturing, sound proofing, and hospital settings.
