Several of our standard products may be suitable to satisfy thermal insulation requirements.

The two basic raw material groups are :

Synthetic materials which are most frequently used today as thermal barriers ; the most common types are :

• expanded and extruded polystyrene
• rigid polyurethane foam

These materials are most often found in isothermal containers, buildings (both roofs and walls), camping vehicles, bottle packaging (combined shock-thermal protection).

Raw materials made out of fibres are typically used when sound insulation is required in addition to thermal protection. The two basic felt types are :

• cotton fibres
• polyester fibres

Products made out of these felts are mostly utilized in home appliances.
